FAO is a three person collaborative group based in Swansea whose work often focuses on social and environmental concern. Members are Fern Thomas, Adele Vye and Owen Griffiths. Work can take the form of interactive actions and live events, through to drawing, photographically documented actions and discussion.
FAO recently worked with National Theatre of Wales on the installation and performative interactions of ‘Zen Garden’ and were Artists in Residence at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in late 2009. FAO are currently working on a body of work centred on investigations into a journey into real and imagined lands, where they will encounter the elements, the cosmos and natural phenomena.
FAO are also founding members of Framework.
